In 2010 we officially started the Mercy Mission II. We have been involved with many homeless outreach activities in the past 2 years providing food, climate appropriate clothing, toiletries, and blankets to the homeless in downtown Tulsa which currently is on a 2 week schedule. Last summer we started a backpack program for children in school with food insufficiency issues serving approximately 900 students and during the summer months had Pizza in the Park for area children free of charge servicing approximately 250. Food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas are put together for 20-25 families every year. MM2 provides back to school backpack supplies each fall for 60 area children. Our food pantry has expanded and we are now affiliated with the Eastern Oklahoma Food Bank as well as becoming a Mid America Foods distribution site. We have provided transportation to the grocery store, for errands and to physician appointments for those without transportation which are primarily for the elderly or disabled. We have assisted people in obtaining temporary housing and support for those that are homeless and have provided utility assistance, as funds are available, to those in need with medical conditions and no means to pay.

Since 2004, we have provided a mid-week free meal open to all youth averaging 100-150 youth every Wednesday night. MM2 has participated in the Angel Tree program which serves approximately 30-50 families annually, providing families with Christmas gifts to children with parents that have no means.

We are currently partnering with several area churches in starting the Good Samaritan Mobile Clinic in November. This is a new and exciting endeavor we hope draws our community together for appropriate medical services to the needy.

Keep us in your prayers and we would welcome anyone that would like to volunteer in our endeavors
